Abstract

Livelihood recovery is a crucial aspect in improving the welfare of people affected by social, economic, and environmental changes. This study aims to analyze strategies, challenges, and approaches to sustainable economic recovery in livelihood restoration programs. Using qualitative methods with a literature study and library research approach, this study examines various models of community empowerment that have been applied in various countries. The results of the study show that the success of livelihood restoration programs is greatly influenced by community involvement, policy support, and access to economic and technological resources. Effective strategies include skills training based on local needs, access to business capital, and the use of digital technology to expand economic opportunities. However, the challenges faced include limited resources, inequality of access to training and capital, and resistance to change. In addition, the importance of a sustainable approach is a key highlight in ensuring the long-term impact of the implemented program. This study concludes that a combination of adaptive strategies, multisectoral partnerships, and community capacity building is the key to success in livelihood restoration programs. The implications of this study emphasize the need for inclusive and sustainable policies to encourage community economic resilience. This study makes an academic and practical contribution in developing a more effective empowerment model and supporting the achievement of sustainable economic development.
