Abstract

Technological advances in the digital era have brought changes in various aspects of life, including the practice of home childbirth accompanied by midwives. The experience of mothers who choose to give birth at home becomes increasingly complex with the availability of extensive digital information, which can affect their decisions, perceptions, and readiness to undergo the childbirth process. This study aims to explore the meaning of the experience of mothers who undergo childbirth at home with the help of midwives in the context of the digital era. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach (library research), where various academic sources, scientific journals, and relevant research reports are analyzed in depth. The results showed that the mother's experience in home childbirth was influenced by various factors, including access to digital information, social support, and interaction with health workers. Digital sources of information can provide benefits in the form of increased knowledge and confidence, but they can also cause confusion due to a lot of unverified information. In addition, the relationship between mothers and midwives in the process of giving birth at home remains a crucial aspect that affects the emotional and psychological experience of mothers. This research provides insight into how mothers interpret the experience of giving birth at home in the digital era and the challenges they face. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for health workers, especially midwives, in providing more optimal education and support to mothers who choose to give birth at home.
